What is an AAUcard?
AAUcard functions as an access card for Aalborg University's buildings on the campuses in Aalborg, Copenhagen, and Esbjerg. This works either by using the magnetic stripe or by utilizing the built-in chip. If there is no magnetic stripe reader, simply hold the card up to the keypad. After closing hours, you will also be asked to enter your PIN..

You also need to use your AAUcard as an ID-card in connection to your various exams.
You can in some instances be asked to show documentation as to the card's validity. In order to obtain this, you would need the assistance of a confirmation of enrolment, which can be printed via STADS self-service, or you can create a digital student-ID via the app Studiz.
Your AAUcard is personal and you are the only one allowed to use it. It must under no circumstances be given or borrowed to someone else. If the card is misused, it will be blocked.

Everyone must carry their AAUcard (AAUcard is used as ID). In many places, the AAUcard is also used as the physical key to one's office, etc.

Questions
Questions about the card's validity and functionality can be directed to aaucard@adm.aau.dk or the local Facility Support team.
You can get an access card for AAU, which only works for a short period. This is relevant if, for example, you are a craftsman and have to carry out a piece of work at the university for a shorter period of time (up to a month's duration), or need access to locked areas. The card is acquired through the department that ordered the work and is issued by the local Facility Support team.
The card is assigned a PIN code in advance, which you will receive when the card is issued. A guest card does not have an image printed on it and therefore cannot be used as an ID card, but simply as an access card.
If you are a guest at AAU, you can use our wireless guest network AAU-1-DAY.
To be able to connect your computer to AAU-1-DAY, you must use today's code. The code can be read by all staff and students on the code page for AAU-1-DAY. Note that the code is updated every day at midnight.
