On the stretch between Hadsundvej and Selma Lagerløfs Vej, three roundabouts are being converted to traffic signal intersections, and an existing signalized intersection is being expanded. These changes aim to improve traffic flow and ensure smooth passage, especially in anticipation of increased traffic following the opening of the new Aalborg University Hospital.

This represents the first phase of a larger infrastructure project.

In 2025, the next phase will begin, involving the expansion of Hadsund Landevej from two to four lanes between Universitetsboulevarden and Egnsplanvej. A new two-way bike path will also be created to provide a safer and more direct route for cyclists to the hospital. The entire project is intended to prepare the area for future traffic needs and make commuting more efficient.
